Snqo Dlodlo

Snqo is one of the organization’s beer sector BrewMasters who has 10 years of experience in the yeast, fermentation and maturation areas of beer making. His journey started at UKZN-Westville campus where after completing his Honors degree in Applied and Industrial physics, pursued a different path in the Process and Control Engineering, and Microbiology fields. This postgrad research work, which was based on a donated microbrewery kit, a brainchild of the then SAB-Miller organization, saw Him gain interest in the brewing process and earned him His master’s degree in the respective fields.

Snqo progressed as a technical trainee assigned to Alrode brewery and furthered his understanding of the business’ brewing techniques and strategies through the program before moving to Chamdor, Alrode “again”, and finally crossing over to Heineken Beverages. Snqo has a track record of being part of teams that have produced award winning beers with the latest offering being a Heineken lager from Sedibeng brewery that ranks 3rd in the 2025 current global rankings. His work around beer quality, brewing efficiencies and improved taste, has sustained these milestone awards.

Snqo is currently completing His MBA through the Henley business school, and He will be sharing briefly what brewing for the masses at a country’s demand scale means to Heineken Beverages, fellow brewers, and lastly a promising student in a microbrewing lab somewhere in South Africa.
