Henri Reuchlin is cofounder and managing director of the StiBON Beer Education, the leading beer educator in the Netherlands. Together with the Academy of Taste he founded the beer food specialisation, arguably the most advanced beer and food course in the world. He is trainer, author, blogger, podcaster and consultant for the brewing industry. In this last role Henri has been advising the Trappist breweries of Zundert in the Netherlands and Tynt Meadow in England. He is treasurer of the Beer Society of the Low Countries and judges at several beer competitions such as the African Beer Cup, European Beer Star and the Brussels Beer Challenge, as well as in national competitions in France, Italy and the Netherlands.
Henri has more than twenty five years of experience in the brewing sector. He is (co-) founder of BIERburo, the Foundation for Dutch Beer Education, Circle of Dutch Family Brewers, Dutch Beer Week, Heineken Collection Foundation, BierTalent and the Dutch Beer Challenge competition. He publishes regularly in magazines such as Bier! and Brouw! and is author of several books on beery subjects such as ‘beer and art’ or ‘beer and travel’. Henri served as chairman of the European Beer Consumers Union EBCU from 2012 until 2018 and was member of the program committee of the Brewers of Europe Brewers Forum from its inception.
Henri holds a master degree in both biotechnology (Technical University Delft) and corporate communication (RSM Erasmus University) and is trained as Doemens diplom Beer sommelier and Certified Cicerone®.
